Mechanism of Action:
Botulinum Toxin Type A, the first Iranian Botox, causes temporary muscle relaxation. In the first stage, the toxin, after being injected into the tissue, specifically binds to receptors on the nerve terminal at the neuromuscular junction. This binding initiates the entry of the toxin into the neuron; after entering the neuron, the botulinum toxin molecule inhibits the release of acetylcholine by inactivating enzymatic pathways
Ultimately, in the absence of acetylcholine in the synaptic cleft, no nerve signal is transmitted from the nerve to the muscle fiber. As a result, the muscle is unable to contract and experiences temporary and reversible paralysis. This effect usually appears after a few days and lasts for three to six months, depending on the injection site and the individual’s metabolism. Over time, the neuron begins to rebuild the broken down proteins and the neuromuscular junction gradually regenerates, and normal muscle function returns.

Storage conditions:

The vial ready for injection should be injected within a maximum of 8 hours.
How to use:
Only be injected by a trained and specialized physician.
Dilute with normal saline (the dilution volume is determined based on the treatment area).
Intravascular injection should be strictly avoided.
Precautions:
Avoid injection of Mosport if there is a history of severe allergy to cow’s milk or toxin components.
Avoid injection in case of a history of neuromuscular diseases (such as myasthenia gravis), heart disease, severe respiratory diseases, and infection at the intended site.
The use of Mosport during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended due to lack of clinical research.
Avoid strenuous exercise, jacuzzi, sauna, and hot tub after injection.
Side effects:
– Bruising, swelling, or local pain at the injection site
– Mild headache
– Temporary drooping of the eyelid (in case of incorrect injection)
– Dry eyes or mouth
– Temporary flu-like symptoms
Drug interactions:
– Aminoglycoside antibiotics such as gentamicin, tobramycin, and amikacin
– Neuromuscular blocking drugs
– Anticholinergic drugs
– Muscle relaxants
