The vaccine is produced as a adsorbed on aluminum phosphate in suitable carrier. Highly purified PRP of Hib bacteria and highly purified tetanus toxoid employed for preparation of this product. Each freeze-dried vial of MAS-Hib VAC<sup>\u00ae\ufe0f<\/sup>\u00a0contain highly purified Hib PRP as active ingredient, and aluminum phosphate as a adjuvant. In infants and young children (under 5 years of age), Hib causes dangerous infectious diseases bacteremia and acute bacterial meningitis. Occasionally, it causes epiglottitis (obstructive laryngitis), cellulitis, osteomyelitis, and joint infections. This vaccine is indicated, in infants from 2 months, for the prevention of invasive diseases such as meningitis, septicemia, epiglottitis\u2026 caused by Haemophilus influenza type b bacteria. MAS-Hib VAC<sup>\u00ae\ufe0f<\/sup>\u00a0is used for routine active immunization in infants aged 2 to 59 months.
